The photographer
Manohar Srikanth
Manohar Srikanth photographs at the intersection of art and engineering.
At MIT, his drone-lighting research — portraits lit by autonomous flying robots — was published, exhibited, and covered by the press. He shot for MIT magazines and MIT Technology Review, covered the Dalai Lama’s 2012 visit to MIT, and taught Digital Photography at MIT.
His portraits, desert and infrared landscapes, and high-speed experiments have been commissioned by magazines and outlets, shown in solo and group exhibitions around Boston — including Tales From India — and sold as large prints.

Drone Lighting
Portraits lit by flying robots — my MIT research in computational rim-illumination, published and exhibited. The drone is in the frame because it belongs there.
